C.D. Leganés and Seydouba Cissé, together until 2026

The C.D Leganés and the midfielder Seydouba Cissé, of 21 years old, reached this thursday an agreement to extend his contract until the end of the season 2025/26. The guinean came to the club almost three years and will defend the white and blue shirt until the end of this season and 4 years more.

Cissé arrived at Butarque in the winter transfer window of the season 2019/20, from F.C Atouga of his country, then he played with the youth team before he entered the C.D. Leganés ‘B’, there he achieved the promotion to the RFEF Second Division the last season being one of the most important pieces of the team coached by Carlos Martínez.

His debut in first team and his first goal in LaLiga SmartBank in just some months

In the present campaign and after doing the pre-season with the first team, he debuted on a official match on LaLiga SmartBank the past 10 of september at Gijon, being part in nine oficial encounters (seven of LaLiga and two at the Coup S.M El Rey) and scoring his first foal last 11 of february at Butarque in the victory against Real Zaragoza.

The club secure a player that have growth with big steps since his arrival at Leganés until the point of shining with the first team like it have happen before with other players coming from quarry pepinera such as Javier Avilés or Naim García

The player from our quarry said that, “It is a special day for me, I’m really happy to extend my contract with Leganés. When I arrived here the club gave me a lot of love, as well as the fans. I have to be thankful and keep working to continue this way. I celebrate my first goal with the fans and I will never forget that day: the supporters and my teammates provide me a lot of love and I feel like home”.

Cissé revealed that, “yesterday I talked with my family, they are super excited and I hope I can bring them to Butarque one day to watch a match. I hope we continue this way and it is mandatory that we focus on the play-off, but the main objective is the match on sunday that is super important. My objective for the future is to play with Leganés in the first división and maybe one day play with the national team of Guinea.
