A festive Sunday at Butarque (4-0)

Diego García, with a two goals, Juan Cruz and Miguel de la Fuente scored the goals against Mirandés.

C.D. Leganés won by a clear 4-0 against C.D. Mirandés at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, in a match corresponding to the thirty-first day of LALIGA HYPERMOTION. Diego García, with a double, Juan Cruz and Miguel de la Fuente scored the goals.

Leganés started with three changes in their line-up compared to last Monday's match in Lezama: Juan Cruz, scorer against Amorebieta, replaced the injured Miramón; Darko Brasanac replaced the suspended Neyou in the midfield, while Diego García played alongside Miguel de la Fuente in attack, leaving Dani Raba on the bench this time.

The duel started evenly, with Mirandés' first approach in minute 9 with a deflected shot by Ilyas Chaira. Lega responded with a corner kick that was finished off by Miguel in the small area in minute 12, with Ramón Juan making a difficult save. In minute 20, it was 1-0: Juan Cruz played on the right flank, the '11' crossed and Diego García, at the near post, headed the ball into the back of the net to give Lega the lead with his tenth goal of the season.

Diego García's brace and another goal by Juan Cruz in an extraordinary first half.

Mirandés tried to take control of the game after the goal, but they couldn't get in front of a well-positioned Leganés. In 32' it was Undabarrena who unsuccessfully finished a good collective action, and only two minutes later came the second: Miguel, from the ground, put it deep for the run of Franquesa, who perfectly assisted Diego García who, at the far post, finished off to score the 2-0 and his eleventh goal of the season.

Mirandés had the chance right after the second goal, but La Gumina failed to score in an action that Lega claimed as a foul in attack. And in minute 42, madness in Butarque: a personal action by Juan Cruz, who connected a left-footed shot from the front to beat Ramón Juan and make it 3-0 with his second goal of the season. The Blue and Whites went into the break with a big lead.

Miguel scored the fourth after a VAR review to close the scoring.

The second half started without changes in Leganés, with a good option for Miguel in minute 59, which was deflected to a corner by Ramón Juan. In minute 60, Borja Jiménez made his first substitution, bringing on Chicco in midfield in place of Iker Undabarrena, who left to a standing ovation from the 9,400 spectators at Butarque.

In 66', the fourth goal was to come: Diego assisted Miguel, who cut back to the visiting goalkeeper and scored the fourth, initially disallowed by Caparrós Hernández, but conceded after a VAR review. The '9' scored again, his ninth goal of the season. Butarque was in full celebration, with a standing ovation for all the players who were replaced: Sergio González, Juan Cruz, Diego García and Enric Franquesa, who left their places to Arambarri, Cissé, Abzi and Djouahra.

A party in Butarque to celebrate a great day

From there to the end, the stadium enjoyed the goal, which could have been even bigger after a great play culminated by Djouahra with a save by Ramón Juan. The visiting Luna had to leave on a stretcher after a strong collision with his teammate Tachi, also receiving the affection of the Blue and Whites' fans, who wished him a speedy recovery. With no time for more, Lega added its second consecutive victory to move to 56 points and remain at the top of the table.

The next match will come next Saturday (18:30) at the Estadio de la Cerámica against Villarreal C.F. 'B'.
