C.D. Leganés defeat C.F. Talavera in a friendly training match at the I.D. Butarque (2-0)

C.D. Leganés' Thursday training match against C.F. Talavera at the I.D. Butarque finished in a blanquiazul victory (2-0). Jon Bautista and Juan Muñoz, both after half time, were the only players to find the net, with Róber Ibáñez making his first return to the grass in blue and white.

With the absence of LaLiga football this weekend, Mehdi Nafti's side faced C.F. Talavera in a full-length training friendly. The Primera División RFEF club had been scheduled to play the pepineros this preseason, however the original fixture's scheduling was postponed due to the detection of Covid-19 cases at the time within both camps.

Jon Bautista launched the initial lead of 1-0 in the 56' by finishing a defense-splitting pass from Palencia from the right flank. Róber Ibáñez, a more recent club arrival from this winter transfer window, joined the fray in the 68' to see out the final stretch of the game. Then in the 73', Juan Muñoz developed the Lega lead with a precise one-touch finish on a cross from Quintillà out left.

The team will resume their training schedule on Thursday morning at 11:30 (CET) behind closed doors at the I.D. Butarque.
