C.D. Leganés reinforces their squad with Allan Nyom's return

This Friday C.D. Leganés finalised the transfer of Cameroon international Allan Romeo Nyom, 33, to the club until the end of this season. The full back comes to play his second stretch at the Butarque, having worn blanquiazul in the 2018/19 LaLiga Santander campaign.

Nyom first arrived in Spain in 2009 to join the ranks of Granada C.F., where he stayed for six season, helping them to promotion from Segunda División 'B' all the way to the Primera División across 220 official appearances. In 2015 he made his Premier League debut, slipping into Watford's back line for one year before moving to West Bromwich Albion for another two seasons.

A member of Leganés' best historic performance in the Primera División

He arrived at C.D. Leganés in 2018 as a loanee, but went on to play in the club's best ever squad: both in terms of points and placement. This period at the Butarque saw him play in 25 official fixtures, in which he scored once. Having spent the last two and a half seasons at neighbouring Getafe C.F. in LaLiga Santander, his more than 80 appearances for the Madrid rivals has brought his total number of professional appearances to over 400 games in the top flights.

Internationally representing Cameroon, he joined the Indomitable Lions in the Brazil 2014 World Cup. Known as a right back of great power and physicality, he is also a flexible player that is comfortable advancing down the wing or switching to the opposite flank. He immediately joins the pepinero set-up to be included in Nafti's training sessions and meet his teammates, some of whose familiar faces from his first stay at the club will be a warm welcome. His presentation comes this Friday at 19:45 (CET).
