C.D Leganés wants his third consecutive triumph to keep going

C.D. Leganés will receive this sunday (18:15) Girona F.C. at the Butarque stadium, corresponding match of the twenty-nine gameweek of LaLiga SmartBank. The Pepineros will look for their third consecutive victory so they can continue the positive streak against a rival they have never won at home.

Leganés will return to Butarque willing to continue the positive streak of results after achieving two consecutive victories, and ten of the last twelve points. This is a result of three victories and one draw. With only one defeat in the last six games the white and blue have got away form the low zone of the table and now they believe they can keep climbing positions.

On sunday they face Girona, a team that the pepinero team haven’t won at Butarque in their last matches. But the players coached by Mehdi Nafti trust that this time they can get the victory for the first time in a stadium full with fans that will support massively and that can break another record of spectators in a duel of the Second Division at home. The coach hopes to have Omeruo back and will count with the loss of Palenciafor sanction and Bruno for  injury.

Girona will defend the place for the Play-off at Butarque

For their side, Girona will arrive at Butarque ready to defend their position on the promotion play-off, place where they start this gameweek. At this moment, the Catalans are in sixth position, so, if they achieve a win against Leganés it will mean a big help for them to keep fighting to get a place in LaLiga Santander next season.

Girona wants to let apart the streak of two games without any victory (Only have achieved one on the last five league matches) and will count with his top stricker, the uruguayan Stuani, that have scored fifteen goals. The coach, Míchel Sánchez, will count with all the men, among them Iván Martín and Victor Sánchez, just join on the winter transfer market.

The referee of the match will be the galician, Sr. D. Javier Iglesias Villanueva.
