On April 20th, 2009, C.D Leganés had a main role on Primavera Pop Festival. The event was organized by Leganés’ City Hall and “40 principales” radio station and was celebrated at Plaza de Toros La Cubierta. More than ten thousand people gathered around the event. Relevant music groups such as El Canto del Loco, Kate Ryan, Carlos Baute, Marta Sánchez and Melendi were part of the festival.
C.D Leganés was involved in the event when Celtas Cortos’ vocalist Jesus Cifuentes jumped into the stage wearing the white and blues jersey. The band supported the team that was looking after promotion that year. The popular “Cifu” remarked “we must continue working together to climb up the mountain”. It wouldn’t be that year nor the next one but Leganés was about to reach the top of the mountain some day.
