CD Leganés achieved the second victory of the season against Rayo Vallecano (1-0) at Butarque thanks to a goal by Guido Carrillo in the first half.
Lega had the ball possession during the first stretch of the match and Carrillo scored after a cross of Santos in the minute 13. Soon Bustinza was replaced for Omeruo because the Basque defender was injured. Moreover, Santos and Carrillo himself had a good chances before the end of the first half.
After the break, Carrillo failed to find the net with a header and Medrán hit the crossbar with a right footed shot from a direct free kick. In the game's final minutes, Medrán was sent off for double yellow card and Alberto denied the Gumbau's goal with a good save.
