C.D. Leganés and goalkeeper Asier Riesgo, 38, reached an agreement on Friday to renew his contract for the 2022/23 season. In this way, the Basque goalkeeper will continue for the third consecutive season defending the Pepinero shirt.
Riesgo arrived at Butarque in the summer of 2020 from Girona F.C. after a long career of more than two decades in our football in the First and Second Division. Since then, he has defended the Blue and Whites' goal in 38 official matches, conceding 34 goals, conceding an average of less than one goal per match and keeping a clean sheet on fifteen occasions.
Thus, the Guipuzcoan will start the pre-season next week under the orders of Imanol Idiakez, starting his third season at Leganés. Welcome back, Asier!
