C.D. Leganés earns another point against Celta towards the objective (0-0)

C.D. Leganés earned a point against Celta de Vigo in Butarque. Goalless tie in a very equalized match.

The match, dominated by a very sunny afternoon and high temperatures in Butarque, started very equalized on the pitch, with a Celta that focused in pressuring very high, helping them spend the beginning of the match mostly in the cucumber’s half. Nevertheless, it was only a matter of time until Leganés took possession of the ball and generated chances against Ruben Blanco’s goal.

Even though the first part did not count with many chances, the cucumber side generated most of them, mainly with crosses by Nyom and Jonathan Silva from both sides, aiming for En-Nesyri to try to beat the ones from Vigo.

During the second half, Leganés and Celta kept on trying to beat each other’s defenses. The cucumbers were extremely solid in their back lines preventing Celta from generating any danger. Only Iago Aspas created the most important chance of the second half where he beat Cuellar but Omeruo slid and cleared the ball right before it was about to cross the goal line.

Pellegrino modified the team trying to freshen up the team by substituting En-Nesyri, Braithwaite and Oscar for Carrillo, Santos and El Zhar.

Even though the hard work, Leganés was not paid off by it and earned a single point to the objective of preventing relegation.
