C.D Leganés receives Sevilla’s eighth visit in history

C.D Leganés will receive Sevilla F.C this Tuesday (21:00h) for the eight time for an official match. Pepineros and Sevillistas have played thirteen matches in first division, three in second division and once in Copa del Rey.

The first three clashes occurred on the silver category. Playing at Municipal, Leganés won against Sevilla in 1997/98 season (1-0) with a goal scored by Jaime. On the next season, playing at Butarque the hispalenses tied the record while on the 2000/01 season both teams tied (1-1).

Balance in the first division matches played at Butarque

On recent years, with Leganés playing at first division, Butarque has received Sevilla’s visit with equally disparate results. On the 2016/17 season the sevillistas won by 2-3, in the 2017/18 season Leganés managed to win by 2-1 with goals scored by Eraso and Bustinza while last season match ended up with a tie (1-1).

Leganés and Sevilla have also played an historic match for the white and blue history: Copa del Rey semifinals in 2017/18 season. The home match at Butarque ended with a draw (1-1) with a goal scored by Siovas.

The final balance in the pepineros’ home is equal: two wins for both sides and three draws.
