Leganés will visit Las Palmas on the search of their fourth victory at Gran Canaria

C.D. Leganés will visit on monday (21:00 hours) for the fourteenth time in the history of an official match. The pepineros will look out for their four victories at the yellow territory after acquiring the victories on the seasons  2002/03, 2004/05 and 2017/18. The balance is completed with six tied matches and four defeats.

The first match between Leganpes and Las Palmas at the islands was produced on La Copa de S.M. El Rey 1995/96 with a draw match 1-1. After that they faced each other in four consecutive matches in the second division at the end of the nineties, duels that the pepiner team only achieved two draw matches. 

Last victory in 2017 with goals of Beauvue and Eraso. 

The first white and blue victory on foreing territory was in the season 2002/03 (1-4) with goals from Miguel Ángel, Fede Marín, Villa and Sívori. The next year Leganés got a 2-2 result, and with the relegation to second division ‘B’, they will meet again on 2005 and 2006 with a pepinero triumph 1-2 with two goals of Marco Márquez and one tied match without goals.

Almost  a decade later, both teams will face each other in another match of the second division, a clash in 2014 that will end with a pepinero defeat for 0-1. Now on the elite there were two other matches in the season 2016/17 (1-1 goal of Guerrero) and 2017/18 (0-2 goals of Beauvue and Eraso). The last duel between these two teams was last season where the locals won 2-1 despite the goal of Rubén Pardo for Leganés.
