3rd December saw the Jos Chillin’ Tournament kick off in Nigeria, a football competition backed by LaLiga, with Fundación C.D. Leganés supplying club shirts for the children participating.
Jos Chillin' Football Challenge is a project that creates a platform for discovering new talent among children younger than 15. Boys and girls competed to reach this opportunity which can provide educational progress for their futures. Jos Chillin' Football believes football can show vulnerable children a life away from poverty, secure them scholarships and positively impact local communities.
This sporting event has equally given LaLiga clubs the chance to strengthen their ties to the region, offer world class athletic opportunities and develop the international profile of both LaLiga and C.D. Leganés. Pepinero Kenneth Omeruo, Nigerian international and the African player with the most appearances in club history, wanted "to take the opportunity to wish them a grand tournametn. Take care of yourselves and do your best".
