Cissé and Neyou to play in the Africa Cup of Nations

Both players have been called up by Guinea and Cameroon for the tournament in January and February.

C.D. Leganés players Seydouba Cissé and Yvan Neyou have been called up by the national teams of Guinea and Cameroon, respectively, for the next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Ivory Coast between January 13 and February 11.

The two players will not be in the following matches of Borja Jiménez's team, as both will be concentrating in the next few days with their national teams to prepare for the continental tournament. It so happens that Guinea and Cameroon are in Group C, and both will face each other on the first matchday, on Monday, January 15 at 18:00.

Cameroon and Guinea are in Group C and will face each other on the first matchday.

The second matchday will take place on Friday 19 January, when Neyou will face Cameroon against Senegal (18:00), while Cissé will face Guinea against Gambia (21:00). The third and final matchday of Group C will be on Tuesday, January 23, with the clashes Cameroon-Gambia and Guinea-Senegal. The top two teams from each group will advance to the round of 16, in addition to the four best third-placed teams from the six groups.

The round of 16 will be played between January 27 and 30, with the quarterfinals on February 2 and 3. The semifinals will take place on February 7, while the match for third and fourth place will be played on February 10, one day before the grand final, scheduled for Sunday, February 11.
