Great success in El Barrio's visit to Butarque

More than 4,000 spectators gathered at Butarque stadium on a very special day.

The Butarque Municipal Stadium lived a very special day this past April 22. Nearly 4,000 spectators gathered at the Pepinero stadium to welcome El Barrio, who faced the C.D. Leganés Legends team.

In a pioneering and unprecedented event, El Barrio traveled to Madrid for the first time to reunite the team that won the first championship trophy with former captain Martín Mantovani, who played with both teams. Attendees were able to enjoy the presence of Adri Contreras, Papi Gavi, Ubón, Jacobo, Nico Pareja or José Juan, from El Barrio, or the Pepinero legends Queco Piña, Movilla, Valleros or Javi Guerrero.

Successful attendance, live visualizations and food collections

The match ended in a draw (3-3), and El Barrio won in the subsequent penalty shootout, after which various challenges took place to the delight of the public. The president of C.D. Leganés, Jeff Luhnow, was also present to take one of the presidents' penalty kicks, and several first team players did not want to miss the event. Martín Mantovani won the Motoreto Trophy as MVP of the match.

The event, which surpassed 200,000 views between the YouTube and Twitch channels that offered the transmission, also showed the most supportive side of the fans, who delivered more than 600 kilos of non-perishable food that will go to the Banco de Alimentos de Madrid. In return, they were able to take a photo with the championship trophy recently won by El Barrio.
