President Jeff Luhnow at the official World Rare Disease Day event.

The president of the Pinos was able to share his impressions with H.M. The Queen, who presided over the event.

The president of C.D. Leganés, Jeff Luhnow, attended the official ceremony for the World Day for Rare Diseases, which was held on February 29th. He was able to share his impressions with H.M. The Queen, who was in charge of presiding over the event.

The event took place at the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Seville, under the slogan "In rare diseases, prevention is better than cure", with the aim of positioning and involving all agents in the promotion of research, early diagnosis and the treatment and therapeutic approach to these pathologies. Among others, the Minister of Health, Mónica García, the Mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, the President of FEDER, Juan Carrión, and Lluís Montoliu, scientific researcher of the CSIC at the National Center of Biotechnology, took part in the event.

The club was invited to the event by the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (FEDER), due to the collaboration that both entities maintain throughout this season 2023/24. As a result of this collaboration, this season Leganés is dedicating its third kit to these pathologies, donating a percentage of the profits from its sale to FEDER. In addition, on March 3, Leganés turned the match against S.D. Eibar into a great visibility event.
