El Leganés fought hard until the end at Camp Nou (3-1)

Barcelona controlled the ball as they usually do at Camp Nou, but the cucumbers stood strong in defense during the first minute looking to counter but without much luck.

Dembelé put Barça ahead

The most dangerous footballer for Barça was Dembelé that with his blistering pace created problems for the Leganés defense. He would open the score around the thirty minute mark. Lega defended with a high line but Piqué found Jordi Alba on the left who put a cross on the box for Dembelé to open the account.

After the break, Lega kept their defensive performace and got a reward. Deadly counter down the right with En-Nesyri who put a low cross in for Braithwaite to level things up at the Camp Nou. Lega gained confidence and tested Ter Stegen a couple more times.

Suárez scores with some controversy

Messi came on and injected life into a Barcelona shocked after the equalizer. The Argentine tried with a great shot forcing Cuellar to fly and stop. Suarez was there for the rebound and the ball ended at the back of the net, and after 7 minutes of review by VAR the ref conceded the goal. In the meantime Cuéllar required some attention after a clash with the Uruguayan.

The cucumbers would enjoy one glorious chance to draw things level again after Silva found Santos in the box but he couldn't shake off the pressure from the defence.

Messi finishes the game
