AGUILERA
Javier Aguilera Gumpert is, since records began, the footballer with the most official matches played in the club’s history, with 460 appearances over thirteen seasons. The Madrid-born goalkeeper was an undisputed starter in almost every campaign in which he wore the white-and-blue shirt, experiencing the club’s growth from Tercera to Segunda División.
An eternal goalkeeper at the Municipal Luis Rodríguez de Miguel, he played through the club’s six seasons in Segunda División B prior to their first promotion to Segunda in 1993, in which he was a key figure. At 30 years old, he made his debut in the second tier, remaining at the club for three more seasons until his departure at the end of the 1995/96 campaign.
A true legend of the club, whose records will be very difficult to surpass for many years to come.
