Legends of Leganés

MIGUEL ÁNGEL

He is the club’s all-time top scorer since official records began. Miguel Ángel Muñoz Benítez joined Leganés in 1991 and spent nine seasons with the team, divided into two periods. In the first, he played a key role in the club’s first promotion to Segunda División and its consolidation in the second tier, scoring thirteen goals in the 1995/96 season.

After leaving in 1997, he returned to Leganés in 2000 to score another 26 goals in the white-and-blue shirt before his final departure at the end of the 2002/03 season. In total, he played 302 matches for Leganés, scoring 74 goals, making him the club’s top scorer.
