MANTOVANI
Martín Maximiliano Mantovani joined the club in 2013, in Segunda División B, and became a fan favorite after captaining the team for five seasons, during which he progressed from the third tier to Primera División. The Argentine center-back achieved promotion to Segunda in 2014 alongside his teammates, and two seasons later reached glory with the historic promotion to the top tier in 2016.
Alongside Javier Eraso and Alberto Martín, he became one of the few players to participate in three different divisions with Leganés, scoring in each of them. After five seasons at the club, he ended his time as a Leganés player in 2018, holding the record as the foreign player with the most appearances in the club’s history, with 167. He currently serves as the club’s ambassador.
