Pablo Insua joined Leganés in 2015 from Deportivo de La Coruña and became the hero of that season’s promotion to Primera División. His goal at the Estadio Municipal de Anduva against Mirandés on June 4, 2016, secured Leganés’ promotion on the final matchday. It was his only goal of the season, during which he played 38 matches and went down in Leganés history.

Insua continued with the team in the 2016/17 campaign, the club’s first in Primera División, playing another thirty matches and scoring once, helping the club secure its top-flight status. His name will always be associated with Leganés’ promotion to Primera División.
