Legends of Leganés
CARLOS MARTÍNEZ
The left-footed player from Extremadura joined Leganés in 2007, playing five seasons with the team across two spells. In the latter, he captained Leganés during the 2014 promotion in L'Hospitalet, returning the club to professional football a decade later.
After retiring, he returned to the club to coach Leganés B, making the jump to the first team in the 2022/23 season when he replaced Imanol Idiakez for the final eight matches, securing the club’s survival in Segunda División at the end of that campaign.
