C.D. Leganés coach Igor Oca appeared at a press conference after the match between Leganés and Real Sporting in Gijón, corresponding to matchday 28 of LALIGA HYPERMOTION, which ended in a goalless draw.
The coach assessed what happened on the pitch as follows:
Difficult situation: “First of all, I would like to offer my condolences to the family and the club, which, despite this, has made itself available to help us with logistical issues. Minor issues. We had two hours to sort out the issues that are always present when a match is held, we got it done and that's it.”
Assessment of the match: “I leave with the feeling that the draw is fair. They had the possible penalty and the shot that hit the post, but I think we were better in the first half. In the second half, they pushed us back a little, but we balanced it out in the end. It was a tremendously competitive match and a fair draw.”
Substitutions: “We needed to create an advantage in width, we were struggling and it's not a question of receiving inside and playing out wide. We thought we could find that with Duk. With Cissé we were well balanced, but with Lalo's injury we had to move Diawara back to balance the position.”
Balance: “In these games, it's the little things that matter, not just creating advantages from teamwork. We're not conceding much, but we haven't created enough to break the deadlock.”
Fans: “We have to value this point. If we got it, it's because we saw a lot of people who stayed. Without them, it would have been much tougher.”
