Álvaro Morata played his first minutes in a C.D. Leganés jersey this Friday, September 4, at Estadio Gran Canaria, in the match between the Pepineros and U.D. Las Palmas, part of Matchday 4 of the 2026/27 LALIGA HYPERMOTION season.
The Madrid-born forward started for the blue-and-white squad one week after his arrival at Ontime Butarque and played 66 minutes in his debut wearing the laurel crest. The Spanish international was quick, active, and engaged, serving as the focal point of the Pepineros’ attack and contributing to the team’s build-up play.
Midway through the second half, after having two scoring chances that were ultimately ruled offside by narrow margins, Morata was replaced by Rubén Albés following a strong debut in which he helped the team earn a point on their visit to Gran Canaria.
