Seydouba Cisse

A technically gifted midfielder who is not afraid to put in defensive work, he arrived at Butarque in the 2019/20 winter transfer window from his country's F.C. Atouga. He played for the youth team before joining C.D. Leganés ‘B’, with whom he achieved promotion to the Second Division RFEF in 2021, being one of the main players in the team coached by Carlos Martínez.

In the 2021/22 season, after completing preseason with the first team, he made his official debut in LaLiga SmartBank in Gijón under Asier Garitano. He gradually gained prominence in the squad, and with the arrival of Mehdi Nafti on the bench, he became a regular in the line-up, playing most of the second half of the season as a starter and scoring three goals, performances that led to him renewing his contract until 2026 and making his debut with the Guinea national team, with whom he competed in the Africa Cup of Nations.

In the 2022/23 season, Cissé established himself as a regular in the Pepineros' line-ups, becoming a full member of the first team and making some outstanding contributions. In 2023/24, he continued his progress and was part of the team that won promotion to LALIGA EA SPORTS, making his debut in the top flight the following season.
