Life at the Academy

International academy

● The Academy

We take care of everything around you.

We take care of everything: accommodation, meals, and the support you need when arriving in a new country. You'll train in the club's official facilities. Because a player really performs when the rest of their daily life is already taken care of.

Where do you train

You train at the club.

The International Academy trains at the two official facilities of C.D. Leganés. These are the fields where the club's official teams and their youth academy train.

Where do you live

A residence, not a shared apartment.

The International Academy works with two university residences around the club, both with full board, cleaning, and laundry included. They are not temporary accommodations.

About the assignment: We assign the accommodation according to your needs and the season's availability. The details, conditions, and the option for a single room will be finalized in your personalized proposal once the spot is confirmed.

Who takes care of you

We speak your language.

For an 18-year-old moving out on their own, training is just one part of it. If rest, food, language, and medical care on a Sunday aren’t taken care of, performance drops.

That’s why we offer more than just coaches and camps: We provide official housing, a dining hall, and an International Area team available in four languages.

In-person attention

Staff available at the residence 24 hours a day. Direct support in Spanish, English, French, and Arabic to handle any daily needs.

Family support

Smooth and direct communication with families. An open channel in four languages to keep parents informed and at ease at all times.

Medical and logistical assistance

Comprehensive management in your language: medical assistance, paperwork, and logistical support so the player only has to worry about performing.

The life of the club

Butarque, from the stands.

Matches in Butarque

The academy players attend C.D. Leganés matches at the Butarque Municipal Stadium. From the stands, with the fans, not on TV.

The stadium from the inside

Guided tours of the inner areas: the ones a fan never steps into.

The life of the club

Official activities and events of C.D. Leganés throughout the season.

Under 18

Train like a professional.

Elite Intensive · You come accompanied

Minors: They must travel with a family member or an accredited legal guardian. The club doesn’t take on legal guardianship during short stays. ...

Performance Year · Academic Year · The club manages the tutoring

Over 18s: The club can arrange legal guardianship through the European School of Sports (optional service with an extra cost), allowing the player to travel without their family.

And something that applies to all three: Under-16s join the C.D. Leganés youth teams according to their age and level. Spots are very limited, and participation in matches depends solely on sports criteria, with no guaranteed playing time.

WHERE

Leganés, and Madrid fifteen minutes away.

Leganés is a city in the south of Madrid with its own university life, with the club at the center of that life. It's not an isolated campus: You go out to the street and there’s a city. Madrid is a quarter of an hour away by train.
