Rubén Peña, Franquesa and Ignasi Miquel, captains for the 2026–27 season 

C.D. Leganés has named its captains for the upcoming 2026/27 season. Rubén Peña, Enric Franquesa, and Ignasi Miquel will wear the captain’s armband during the season, which kicks off this Sunday.

Rubén Peña, who is entering his fourth season with Leganés and was already one of the captains last season, will serve as Leganés’ first captain. The Ávila native remains a key figure for the team and its fans, both on and off the field.

Enric Franquesa joins the trio of captains in his fifth season with Leganés. After joining the team in January 2023, the Catalan fullback ranks second on the current roster in terms of official matches played.

Meanwhile, Ignasi Miquel is entering his third season as a Blanquiazul player. His leadership and experience will once again serve the Blanquiazul club for another year, as he becomes one of the team’s captains.
