C.D. Leganés and Sporting de Portugal agree to the loan of Djibril Gueye

C.D. Leganés and Sporting Clube de Portugal have agreed to a one-season loan for 19-year-old Senegalese center back Djibril Gueye. The young African defender, who made his first-team debut last season (2025/26), will play on loan for the Portuguese club, which will have an option to buy.

Djibril Gueye was part of C.D. Leganés ‘B’ last season, making his official first-team debut in a Copa del Rey match against Azuaga. He made three appearances with the first team, also making his LALIGA HYPERMOTION debut against Córdoba C.F.

The young player will now continue his development in Portugal with Sporting. The club wishes him the best of luck in this new chapter of his career.
