First meeting of the summer

C.D. Leganés disputed its first friendly of the summer against Levante U.D. at the Ciudad Deportiva of the granota club. Those of Rubén Albés had their first contact of the pre-season, in a match against a rival from LALIGA EA SPORTS that finalized with a 2-1 local victory.

Both outfits utilized completely distinct starting elevens in the two halves of the clash, distributing minutes among all their footballers. In Leganés, Raúl Fernández, Gøthler, Atienza, and Buurmeester, the four signings made up to the moment, debuted with the blue-and-white shirt.

Levante went ahead right at the edge of half-time with a goal from Espí, while Leganés equalized in the 80th minute through Roberto López, who took advantage of an incursion and assist from Pulido to make it a temporary 1-1. Right at the end, Krug, after a set-piece action, made it the definitive 2-1.

Leganés continues with its preparation for the new season, and will face its next friendly on Friday (10:30 hours) against Albacete Balompié at the I.D. Butarque.
