The player of the pepineran branch, who had already been called up in the first round of Copa del Rey in Ourense, had his first minutes in Socuéllamos as a white-blue footballer.

Cassio, 21 years old, entered the Paquito Giménez's field in the 65th minute of the match with the '36' on his back substituting Kevin Bua, placing himself next to Luis Perea as a midfielder and helping to achieve the qualification for the sixteenth round of the Copa del Rey.

"Very happy for the debut, but above all for the victory"

The young Brazilian, who is a regular in the line-up of Carlos Martinez' C.D. Leganes 'B' who leads his Third Division group, was delighted after the game with his first minutes with the first team: "I am very happy with the debut with the first team, but above all with the victory. I am proud to be able to help the Lega today and ready for more opportunities".
Cassio becomes the seventh Brazilian player to play with C.D. Leganés in the official match, after Gabriel Pires, James Madariaga, Catanha, Luciano, Ricardo Costa and Gustavo Coelho.
