C.D Leganés’ academy had an important role at San Mamés on a match that the pepineros won against Athletic Club (0-2). Six academy members were part of the squad list qhile Manu Garrido and Avilés had some minutes on the pitch.

Pablo Lombo, Iván López, Aymane Mourid and Iván Amores saw the win from the bench at San Mamés. Manu and Avilés had main roles on the match.

The 19-year old forward was part of the starting line-up for the first time after having played some minutes against Osasuna and Sevilla. Manu played for 59 minutes and was key on the play in which Unai Simón was sent off by the referee after fouling Bryan Gil. He also had some chances on the area.

Avilés got into the match on the 74^th minute when no goals were scored. The winger, who is frequently playing and scored a goal against Osasuna, reached his first assist in LaLiga after he passed the ball to Assalé for the second goal of the night.
