C.D Leganés and F.C Cartagena will face each other for the first time in Second Division

C.D Leganés will face F.C Cartagena this Sunday (20:30h). It will be the first time both teams face each other for an official Second Division match. Pepineros and albinegros had never played at the silver category until now.

C.D Leganés faced Cartagena for the first time (Cartagena F.C by that time) in the 1991/92 season when both teams played in Segunda División 'B'. It was the second matchday of that league and the albinegros won 2-0 against Luis Ángel Duque´s team. The second leg match ended without goals at Rodríguez de Miguel Stadium (0-0).

Comeback in 2009 after a match in the snow

Pepineros and Cartageneros did not face each other until the 2009/09 season. It was the first matchday of the season and F.C Cartagena won by 3-1 with a gol by Quini. The white and blues managed to win on the second leg match by 2-1 after coming back in the game with goals scored by Juli and Nacho Aznar.

C.D Leganés and F.C Cartagena will play against each other again after eleven years. Now it will be for a Second Division match.
