C.D Leganés and S.D Huesca agree on Dimitrios Siovas’ transfer. The Greek defender who will be 32 years old tomorrow leaves the pepineros after three seasons and a half in which he has played 108 games and scored four goals.
Siovas arrived at C.D Leganés in January 2017 on loan from Olympiacos F.C. He played the second leg of the 2016/17 season and helped the team to achieve the survival in First Division. He was later signed by the club at the end of that season and consolidated in Asier Garitano’s team and later in Mauricio Pellegrino’s and Javier Aguirre’s teams.
Third foreign player to play more than one hundred official games with the club
He scored four goals as a pepinero, the most relevant against Sevilla F.C for Copa del Rey 2017/18 semifinals. Siovas managed to return to his national team while he was playing for Leganés. He now leaves as the third foreign player with the most official matches after Martín Mantovani and Gabriel Pires records.
The club is grateful with the player for his commitment and professionalism in these years and wishes him the best of luck on this new stage of his career.
