C.D Leganés has completed the best start of season on Second Division after the first eleven matchdays of the league. The pepineros have summed more points and conceded les goals than the previous thirteen seasons at the silver category.
The current C.D Leganés has summed a total of 19 points after the first eleven matchdays of the season. Six wins, one draw, and four losses. The white and blues had never reached those numbers after the first eleven matchdays of LaLiga SmartBank: the best numbers before this season were the ones from the 1996/97 season with a total of 17 points.
Not even in the 2015/16 season, when the pepineros reached the promotion to LaLiga Santander, the team reached a total of 19 points or more. By that time, Asier Garitano’s team had a total of 13 points after two wins and seven draws.
More points and less goals conceded than ever before in Second Division
José Luis Martí’s team is also the best C.D Leganés team in goals conceded on Second Division after eleven matchdays. The white and blues have only conceded eight goals on their first eleven games and record a total of five clean sheets.
The best previous numbers were the ones from the 2003/04 season in which event though Leganés was relegated to Segunda División 'B', great defensive performance was shown after receiving only nine goals on the first eleven matches.
