C.D. Leganés institute David Monjo as the club's new delegate

C.D. Leganés bring in David Monjo Ortega as the new club delegate. Monjo, 34 and already a familiar face at the club, having worked with the Escuela Pepinera and as a coach of football development, will replace Ramón Moraleda, who has decided to depart from his role due to personal reasons.

His professional links with football began in 2015 around management, but Monjo has deep athletic and managerial ties to another sport: handball. Having worked for 16 years as a professional referee within the game, as president of the Comité Técnico Arbitral, as well as competing in the División de Honor Élite of RFEBM and last, but certainly not least, on an international level, for the European Handball Federation.

David Monjo is no stranger to the Butarque either thanks to the club's general director, Martín Ortega, having also travelled with the pepineros for their away fixture against Real Valladolid, their first slice of footballing action in 2022.
