C.D. Leganés will host C.E. Sabadell for the second time in their history this Sunday (18:15). The pepineros have only faced the Arlequinados once at home in an official match, in a duel in the 2014/15 season that ended in a draw (1-1).
The match was played on May 16, 2015, and corresponded to the thirty-eighth matchday of the championship. The Blue and Whites were formed with: Serantes; Rubén Peña, Postigo, Mantovani, César Soriano; Eraso, Alberto Martín, Erik Morán, Aguirre; Sergio Prendes and Chuli. In the second half, Velasco, Rabello and Fran Moreno came on from the bench.
Sergio Postigo scored the equalizer in the 2014/15 season.
Leganés took an early lead thanks to Sergio Postigo's header from a corner kick. The pepineros dreamed of reaching the 'play-off' if they got the three points, but Sabadell would equalize in the second half thanks to a goal by Eguaras. That is the only clash between Leganés and Sabadell on Madrid soil so far, having also met twice at the Nova Creu Alta, with a win for the Pepineros in the 2014/15 season (1-2, with goals from Borja Lázaro and Mantovani) and a win for the Arlequinados (1-0 in the first leg of the current season).
