C.D. Leganés receives U.D. Logroñés for the first time at Butarque

C.D. Leganés will welcome U.D. Logroñés to Butarque for the first time this Sunday (21:30). The two teams have only met in the first leg match held at Las Gaunas, which ended with a 1-0 victory for the Blue and Whites.

Previously, Leganés had faced the extinct C.D. Logroñés, with whom they coincided in four seasons in the Second Division in the nineties. The Riojanos played four matches in the silver category in Leganés, with a balance of three draws and one away win.
The first of these matches, at the old Municipal, took place in the 1995/96 season and ended in a 2-1 win for Logroñés, with Valdivia scoring the Pepinero goal. In Butarque, in the 1997/98 season, both teams drew (1-1) with Samuel Etoo scoring for the Blue and Whites. The other two precedents also ended in a draw: 1-1 in the 1998/99 campaign (goal by Juanmi) and 0-0 in 1999/00.
