C.D Leganés won again at Butarque against A.D Alcorcón (1-0), its fourth consecutive home win. The pepineros won after a goal by Sabin Merino on the second half.
José Luis Martí started the match with the same players of the match against Albacete. The only change was Rubén Pardo who replaced Gaku Shibasaki, currently playing with this national team.
Tarín and Borja Bastón had the best chances after an equal first half
It was an intense first half with both teams pressing on the midfield but without many shots on goal. The first occasion for C.D Leganés arrived on the 20th with a header by Rodri Tarín after a free kick by Rubén Pardo. The first shot from the visitors was on the 25’ when Arribas kicked the ball and it went up.
The match continued equal. Borja Bastón had a clear option after a good attack by Leganés led by Bustinza but Dani Jiménez sent it to the corner. No more chances before half-time at Butarque.
Sabin Merino scored the winning goal after one minute at the pitch
Juan Muñoz and Boateng had the first chances after the restart of the match. José Luis Martí sent Sabin Merino into the pitch on the 59’ replacing Juan Muñoz and one minute later Sabin managed to score the winning goal after a great pass by Rubén Pardo. It is Sabin’s fourth goal of the season.
C.D Leganés did not concede spaces to its rival. Luis Perea, Bua, and Miguel replaced Rubén Pérez, José Arnaiz, and Borja Bastón. The pepineros controlled the match, which did not have relevant occasions later, except for Laure’s double yellow card.
The visitors did not create relevant chances against Cuéllar´s goal and C.D Leganés summed its fourth consecutive home win and has now 22 points in the table. The next match will be on Saturday (14:00h) at La Rosaleda against Málaga C.F.
