C.D. Leganés and Borja Jiménez part ways

C.D. Leganés and Borja Jiménez have agreed to end their time together after two seasons.

C.D. Leganés and Borja Jiménez have agreed to end their time together. The coach from Ávila will not continue as first team coach after having led the Pepinero team during the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons, achieving promotion and the first championship title in the club's history.

Borja arrived at Butarque in June 2023 with the illusion and commitment to lead an ambitious project. During this time, he has shown professionalism, hard work and dedication, contributing to the team competing with identity and character throughout these seasons. In his first season at Butarque, he made history by leading from the bench the second promotion in their history to LALIGA EA SPORTS, winning the championship title.

In his second season, he led Leganés to 40 points in the top category, fighting for permanence until the last day of the season. His work and that of his coaching staff have been key to a season full of enthusiasm, marked by collective effort and commitment to the values of C.D. Leganés.

The club would like to thank Borja for his involvement, respect and professionalism during these months, and wishes him the best in his future challenges, both personally and professionally. The club, through its president Jeff Luhnow, its Director of Football, Andrés Pardo, and Borja Jiménez himself, will offer a goodbye press conference at 17:00 at Butarque Stadium.
