CD Leganés and IFREQ technology join forces in Waterloo to train more than 400 footballers

The event will take place in the Belgian city from 8 to 11 May.

CD Leganés continues to expand its international projection through strategic alliances with key players in the world of sport and technology. On this occasion, the Madrid-based club is joining forces with IFREQ, a company specialising in technological solutions applied to sports performance, to hold an event in the city of Waterloo, Belgium, from 8 to 11 May 2025.

The meeting will bring together more than 400 young footballers from all over the country, who for four days will participate in intensive training sessions that combine the methodology of CD Leganés' international academy with the advanced use of data analysis and sports performance technology developed by IFREQ.

IFREQ is a digital platform that offers tools for the comprehensive monitoring of athletes, including training load tracking, physical and cognitive fitness assessment, biomechanical analysis and personalised recommendations based on artificial intelligence. Its approach allows optimising player development, preventing injuries and maximising performance from an early age.

This collaboration is an important step towards the integration of technology in grassroots football training processes and reflects CD Leganés' commitment to innovation and excellence in its international training model.

With this initiative, the club reinforces its presence in Europe and promotes a unique experience that connects technical knowledge, innovation and the projection of young talent.
