C.D. Leganes and Sergio Gonzalez part ways

C.D. Leganés and Sergio González decide to part ways. The central defender and the Pepinero captain ends his time as a first team player after five seasons defending the Blue and Whites' shield with dedication, professionalism and leadership.

Sergio arrived at Butarque in the summer of 2020 and, since then, has been a key player both on and off the field. His commitment, consistency and daily example led him to wear the captain's bracelet, being a figure respected by teammates, coaching staff, fans and club employees.

During his time as a Pepinero, he has played a total of 166 official matches, scored twelve goals and has experienced moments that are already part of the club's history, including promotion to LALIGA EA SPORTS and the Second Division championship during the 2023/24 season.

From C.D. Leganés we want to thank Sergio for everything he has given for this club, his professionalism from day one and his love for these colors. From the club we wish him good luck in the future, both personally and professionally.
