C.D. Leganés ends the first round of LALIGA HYPERMOTION 2023/24 as leader, winning for the first time in its history the honorary title of winter champion in the Second Division. The pepineros reach the halfway point of the league with 39 points, their highest score in half a season in the silver category.
Eleven wins, six draws and only four defeats (all by the minimum) have been scored by the Blue and Whites in the first twenty-one matches of the competition, who have scored thirty-one goals and conceded only thirteen, making them the lowest scoring team in LALIGA. In fact, during this period, Diego Conde beat the club's unbeaten record in the Second Division, setting it at 552 minutes.
Leganés' previous best record at the end of a first round in the silver division dated back to the 2020/21 season, when they finished with 37 points in fifth place. Even better in terms of position (third), the 1995/96 team finished with 33 points in nineteen games. However, this first round has broken all records.
The team will start the second round of the championship next January 14 (2 p.m.) away against F.C. Andorra.
