C.D. Leganés and Real Madrid C.F. reached an agreement on Friday to sign 22-year-old centre-back Marvelous Antolín Garzón, ‘Marvel’, for the next three seasons. The defender, a Spanish international at youth level, completes the centre of the Pabellon defence for the 2025/26 campaign.
Born in the Moroccan town of Casablanca, but raised in Spain since he was a child, Marvel was formed in the youth ranks of Real Madrid C.F., and also played for Atlético de Madrid, Alcalá and Rayo Vallecano before returning to Madrid as a youth player. The defender made his way through the youth ranks at Real Madrid, being considered one of its most promising players, until arriving at Real Madrid Castilla in the 2021/22 season, still at youth level and at the same time as making his debut with the Spanish U-19 national team.
The following year he became a permanent member of the reserve team, establishing himself as a regular in the team and playing in the playoff for promotion to the LALIGA HYPERMOTION, as well as making his debut in the first team. After another season with Real Madrid Castilla, in the 2024/25 season he was loaned to Córdoba C.F., taking another step forward in his career by making his debut in the silver category, in a campaign in which he made 28 official appearances and played more than 2,000 minutes of competition.
A left-sided centre-back who can also adapt to the full-back position, Marvel stands out for his physical condition, size and power, with good ball control and experience despite his youth. He signs until 2028, will wear the number 2 shirt and will be presented in the next few days as a new Pepinero player.
