C.D. Leganés reached an agreement on Monday to sign 24-year-old defender Rubén Pulido Peñas for the next three seasons. The centre-back from Madrid, with extensive experience in LALIGA HYPERMOTION despite his youth, arrives from S.D. Huesca.
Pulido came up through the youth ranks at Rayo Vallecano, then went on to play for Alcobendas Levitt and Alcobendas Sport before signing for Real Madrid in 2018, joining Madrid's Juvenil “A” side and making his debut in the UEFA Youth League. The following year he made his debut in Segunda División “B” in the ranks of Rayo Majadahonda, competing with the Majadahonda club in the 2019/20 season.
His youth and good performances led him to sign for C.F. Fuenlabrada, making the jump to LALIGA HYPERMOTION and becoming essential with the Fuenlabrada team, playing seventy games in the two years he spent at the Fernando Torres.
In 2022, Pulido moved to S.D. Huesca, where he has competed for the last three seasons in the silver category of our football. A powerful centre-back, aggressive in marking and with good characteristics to defend in space, the 24-year-old defender from Madrid makes a new leap in his career by joining C.D. Leganés, becoming the first signing of the Pepinero for the 2025/26 season.
The press conference for his presentation will take place this Tuesday, 3rd June, at 1PM at Butarque.
