Diego Conde and Javi Rubio made their debut with C.D Leganés and in LaLiga SmartBank

C.D Leganés’ players Diego Conde and Javi Rubio made their official debut as white and blues last Sunday. Both the goalkeeper and the right-wing defender also made their debut in LaLiga SmartBank after arriving at the club last summer from Atlético de Madrid and Rayo Vallecano.

Diego Conde played his first match in the silver category with 21 years old after José Luis Martí gave him the opportunity to defend the goal at Anxo Carro Stadium. The goalkeeper had some Good interventions with great aerial control. He could not do much to prevent the two goals received: a direct shoot after some kickoffs and a penalty kick.

Michael Santos’ debut in his second stage with the club

21-year-old Javi Rubio also made his debut in LaLiga SmartBank. He had already been called to the match squad last season with Rayo Vallecano but did not have the chance to play. The right-wing defender was a starter and played the ninety minutes with great level. He fought on defense and got to attack. He was close to score a goal in the second half after a good individual play that ended with a shoot cleared by the locals’ goalkeeper.

Michael Santos also had the chance to play again with C.D Leganés. The Uruguayan forward made his debut on this stage after having played before in the 2018/19 season. Santos played about half an hour after replacing Juan Muñoz.
