C.D Leganés’ central defender Dimitrios Siovas had a starring role in Greece’s Nations League matches. They managed to get a win and a draw on the first two matches of the competition.
Siovas was part of the starting line-up on Thursday’s inaugural match in which the Greeks tied without goals against Slovenia at Ljubljana. The pepineros’ central defender did not start the second match against Kosovo but got into the game on the 40th minute and scored the second goal for the team after a free kick. It is his first goal with Greece.
The defender will return to work with the team after this international match and will be able to play for José Luis Martí from this Friday (21:00h) against U.D Las Palmas.
