C.D. Leganés reached an agreement this Monday with Al-Arabi S.C., a team from the Qatar Stars League, for the loan of defender Javier Hernández Carrera, 27 years old, for the upcoming 2025/26 season. The agreement includes a purchase option for the Qatari team at the end of the season.
Javi Hernández, under contract with the pepinero club until 2027, joined Leganés in the summer of 2020 from Real Madrid C.F., having played 112 official matches in the blanquiazul jersey since then, scoring nine goals. During this time, he also played on loan for Girona F.C. in the 2022/23 season and Cádiz C.F. in the 2023/24 season.
After completing preseason training with the rest of his teammates under the guidance of Paco López, the Andalusian now embarks on a new footballing chapter. The club wishes him the best of luck in the coming months, both personally and professionally.
