Lega wins the derby with a goal by Diego García in the 91'.

The pepineros won the #DerbiHistórico thanks to a goal from the homegrown player in added time.

C.D. Leganés won the #DerbiHistórico against Getafe C.F. at the Estadio Municipal Butarque (1-0), in a match belonging to the twenty-sixth round of LALIGA EA SPORTS. Diego García, with a bicycle kick goal in the minute 91', scored the winning goal for Leganés and brought delirium to the stands.

A close first half with no chances for either team

Leganés took the field with four changes compared to the last matchday, with Jorge Sáenz and Javi Hernández in defense, Brasanac in midfield and Miguel de la Fuente up front. The match started with a great atmosphere in the stands of Butarque despite the rain and the intense cold in Leganés, and with both teams testing each other in search of the first goal opportunities.

With no big 'whoops' in the first half hour, Lega was solid in defense, without conceding chances in their area and with the three central defenders thwarting Getafe's arrivals. Lega's most dangerous approach in the first half came from a corner kick headed by Sergio González that did not find the three posts of David Soria's goal, and later Miguel was about to reach another lateral delivery that went narrowly wide. With the initial goalless draw, the game went to the break.

Óscar, from a free kick, came close to making it 1-0 in the 87th minute

The second half started with no changes, and continuing with the same tone of equality in the first few minutes. In the 60th minute, Borja Jiménez made his first change, bringing on Óscar in place of Brasanac in an attempt to give the team more attacking bite. The game continued to develop in midfield and the fight and the divided balls were predominant.

Raba had a chance in the 76th minute with a left-footed shot that went just wide of the post after a great transition between Rosier, Miguel and Raba himself, shortly before Juan Cruz and Diego García came on in place of Raba and Miguel. The goal was about to come in the 87th minute, when Óscar's free kick went just wide of the post.

Diego García provided the perfect moment of ecstasy in the 91st minute with a bicycle kick goal to give Lega the victory

The ecstasy was to come in the three minutes of added time decreed by Muñiz Ruiz. In the 91st minute, Rosier broke down the right flank, put the ball into the box and Diego García took the ball and connected with an impossible bicycle kick for David Soria to make it 1-0 and the victory for Leganés in the derby. Impressive finish for the pepineros to take all three points and move to 27 points in the table.

The next match for the pepineros will come on Saturday (14:00) at Abanca Balaídos against R.C. Celta.
