C.D. Leganés got a point in their match of the thirtieth LALIGA EA SPORTS matchday at Butarque against C.A. Osasuna (1-1). Herrando gave Los Rojillos the lead at the start of the second half, while Raba, from the penalty spot in the 87', equalized for Los Pepineros.
Leganés took the field with only one change in their lineup compared to last matchday's clash at the Santiago Bernabéu: Seydouba Cissé returned to the eleven in place of the sanctioned Óscar Rodríguez. The main news was the starting position of Renato Tapia, who played as a left center-back in the defensive line alongside Sergio González and Nastasic, with Rosier and Javi Hernández as full-backs.
Sergio had Lega's best chance in the first half, in which the VAR disallowed Torró's goal
Leganés came out strongly, with a first shot between the posts by Juan Cruz in the 10th minute that was caught by Sergio Herrera. In minute 17, it was Tapia who tried from the edge of the area, but again Herrera blocked the ball, this time with difficulty. Osasuna's first chance came in 21', with a shot by Moncayola that was deflected to a corner by Dmitrovic. In 29', the Navarrese were about to take the lead, with a close-range shot by Budimir that Dmitrovic saved under the posts with a great intervention.
Osasuna would score the 0-1 in the 39' from a corner after a shot by Torró that beat Dmitrovic, but García Verdura, at the request of the VAR, annulled the goal for offside. The last one was for Sergio González from Raba's cross, but Herrera deflected with a great hand. With the score at 0-0, the game went to the break.
Herrando gave Osasuna the lead from a corner kick, and Raba, from a penalty in the 87', equalized for Leganés
The second half started without changes, with Osasuna taking the lead in minute 49 through Herrando, who finished off a corner kick at the far post to make it 0-1 and put the Rojillos ahead. First Dmitrovic and then Rosier saved a dangerous Osasuna goal in 57', before Miguel came on for Nastasic in Borja Jiménez's first substitution in search of a comeback.
Javi Hernández tried in the 68' from the edge of the area with a left-footed shot that went off target, before Munir came on for Diego García in the second Blue and Whites' second substitution. Yan Diomande came on for Javi Hernández in the last Blue and Whites' substitution, in minute 82, and the Ivorian canterano himself was the protagonist of the action in which his cross towards Sergio González ended in a penalty for Catena's grab on our captain. Raba was in charge of converting it to make it 1-1 and put excitement to the final stretch.
The pepineros tried in the extra time, but the second goal did not come. In this way, Leganés has a point and is placed with 28 in the table, getting back to winning after three weeks without being able to do so. Their next match will take place on Saturday (21:00) again at Butarque, this time against F.C. Barcelona.
