Monday saw C.D. Leganés and E.S. Troyes finalise the loan deal of centre back Jimmy Giraudon, 30, to the pepineros. The defender is a seasoned veteran of French football and will add valuable experience to the blanquiazul rearguard.
Giraudon, born La Rochelle, had his first stage of development at Chamois Niortais F.C. before passing through Grenoble F.C. to then arrive at Troyes, where he made both his second division debut in 2016/17 and his first top flight appearance the following season. He has spent the last six campaigns with the northeastern French side, playing in almost 200 games and scoring twice. He has also captained the club during their two Ligue 1 seasons so far.
A player of imposing presence in any back line, thanks to his 1.84m stature, he is also comfortable adapting to a deep-lying midfielder role too. He has played in 19 Ligue 1 matches for ESTAC. Giraudon immediately joins the pepinero camp and Nafti's training sessions, with his presentation due later this week.
