José Luis Martí: “Being successful in the areas is key and what happened today is an example of it”

C.D Leganés’ manager attended the media after the match that his team played against C.E Sabadell at Nova Creu Alta (1-0). The manager was sorry about the occasions missed in the first half of the match and the bad luck of the team.

Martí analyzed the match: “We had many chances on the first half. I am not worry about not scoring them, I would be if we did not create them. They scored on the second half and the match ended there. There is not much to say about the second half after all the pauses, we barely could play”.

“We must improve and create more chances when we attack from the back”

He talked about his strategy from the beginning: “We wanted to get deeper with Palencia on the wing and were able to do so. The first half interpretation was extraordinary. He tried to tie the match but it is clear we need to improve and create more options when we attack from the back”.

At the end he analyzed the fact that the team has not tied any match in the season: “We are a team that seek to attack our rivals’ goal, we also have managed to defend well. I only remember two chances from our rivals. Areas are key and today is an example of that. When you cannot win you should try to tie because those points are key for the season”.
